As the Director General Military Training (DGMT) of Indian Army for over three years, I had overseen the entire gamut of training and skill development policies, academic curricula and schedules for all ranks. I consider it an honour to be the Director General of the Raffles Group of Institutions. Although the Raffles University is just about six years old, we maintain that every member of the staff, the academics in particular , has a keen sense of commitment, responsibility and accountability to its students for improving the quality of education and for the results achieved by them. Further, in order to keep pace with the dynamic changes the world over, there is a need to change the curriculum or the syllabus in our higher education system to attune academic curricula to meet the requirements of industry.

We also realize that one of the key pillars of growth in education is the close interaction between the industry and the students. We are fortunate to be located in the hub of the Japanese Industrial Zone, due to which it is our constant endeavour to expose our students to the latest technology in use, and industrial advances and products. Some of these actions would automatically ensure that the University’s focus remains on teaching, innovation and research. With our cardinal principles, its values and culture in place, Raffles University has improved progressively and has earned a name for itself in a short span of time.

It would be my earnest endeavour to provide strategic vision and leadership for the Group, and assiduously strive to enhance academic standards and administrative efficiency of the University, to enable Raffles University to reach its destined position of being a Centre of Excellence.”
